She also did make-up for renown Hollywood celebrities and politicians, to name a few Albert Brooks, Cate Blanchet, Sheetal Seth, Former US President Barack Obama, Hon. Prime Minister of India Shri. NarendraModi.

She grew up in Delhi where she learned make-up and hair styling, her quest for improvising her skills and to gain advance knowledge, she traveled to Los Angeles and joined Cinema Make-up School, a well acclaimed make-up institution in Hollywood movie industry to learn advanced make-up.

Charu has gone through various challenges and harassment, which was prevailing then in the movie industry. The gender discrimination became an accepted fact and she wanted to end that trait. She filed a case in Hon. Supreme Court of India against Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) to end the gender bias. Supreme Court took due cognizance of the matter and passed the verdict in her favor. She was supported by National Commission for Women in her cause.
