The wedding day is the most important day in the life of a woman. It sets the beginning of a new era in her life and hence she wants to look the best in every manner possible. Right from clothes and accessories to hairstyle to makeup, everything should be portrayed in its very best so as to render a ravishing look to her.

Here are 10 essential bridal make-up tips to make for a perfect wedding look:

  • Stay oil-free- One should use oil-free products on the day of the wedding to avoid building up of shine on the face. If you feel that your face is getting oily, simply blot it with oil-free blotting sheets.
  • More is good- Since the camera would be focusing on you on your D-Day and you would be the center of attraction, it is good to go for a heavier makeup than what you usually do. The camera lights would tone down the look automatically.
  • Practice- It is important to practice bridal make up, before the special day arrives, many times so that you do not mess up with up. Remember always to start with less as it is easier to add on than to remove.
  • Don’t forget the primer- Apply a primer before applying the foundation so as to keep the make-up fresh-looking and stay on for longer.
  • Never use your fingers- Foundation should be applying using a sponge or brush and never with fingers as the bacteria from your fingers may get transferred to the bottle and may also leave finger prints on your face.
  • Concealer trick- After applying the foundation, a concealer should be used to avoid the make up to look too heavy. A separate creamy concealer should be used for the eyes.
  • Primer for the eyes- Before using the eye-shadow, an eye primer should be used to avoid smudging.
  • The natural look- Use a cream blush to get a natural look on your face, this will even make you look healthy and fresh. Dusting a translucent powder on it would make it stay longer.
  • Blush trick- First smile and then use blush to accentuate your cheeks, blending it on to the temple.
  • Eyebrows- To fill in the eyebrows, use an eyebrow pencil. A color one or two shades lighter than your natural color should be used for the same.
